Subject: | Joint State Government Commission's Task Force on Public Health Law -Staff Study |
In the near future, I will be introducing a resolution asking the Joint State Government Commission (JSGC) to conduct a staff study on youth vaccination within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Specifically, my legislation will direct the JSCG’s Task Force on Public Health Law to evaluate and recommend necessary changes or legislation to improve youth immunization. According to the Pennsylvania Immunization Coalition, approximately 23% of two year olds in Pennsylvania are not up-to-date for the currently recommended vaccines.** The goal of this staff study is to improve public health by addressing issues that affect youth vaccination within our Commonwealth. **http://www.immunizepa.org/resources/immunizations/immunizations-for-infants/ |
