Subject: Social Workers Month
 
When the Senate returns to session this month, I intend to introduce a resolution recognizing March 2014 as Professional Social Work Month.
Social workers help meet the basic needs of all people, especially the most vulnerable, at every stage of life.
They provide support to veterans and their families to transition back to civilian routines and the access to mental health treatment and health care services that comfort and strengthen the ill and their families. They care for the young and old with the dignity and concern that defines the character of a society.
Please join me in recognizing members of this important profession.
