Subject: Co Sponsorship: Veteran Preference on Civil Service Examinations
 
In the near future, I plan to introduce legislation that would amend Title 51 (Military Affairs) by increasing preference points to veterans on any civil service appointments or promotional examination from 10 to 15.

In the past 12 years since our soldiers first entered the Middle East, more than 2.6 million American veterans have returned home to a country largely unprepared to help them re-enter civilian life. This revenue neutral legislation would help veterans take the next step in their lives and careers

Please join me in co-sponsoring this veteran-friendly piece of legislation.
