Subject: Green Work Force Training (PA Works)
 
In the near future, I plan to re-introduce legislation that would provide for green workforce training grants. This legislative measure would establish a job training program that provides skills and knowledge which lead to occupations related to energy efficiencies and renewable energy industries. Eligible industries include energy efficient building, construction and retrofits industries, renewable electric power industry, bio-fuels industry, energy efficiency assessment industry, manufacturers of renewable energy efficient products and materials, and any other industry deemed eligible by the Department of Labor and Industry.

This legislation is one part of the PA Works legislative package.
