|Subject:||Emergency Epi-Pens For Eating Establishments|
|In the near future, I plan to introduce legislation titled the Epinephrine Kit Maintenance and Emergency Administration Standards Act. I previously sponsored this legislation in the House of Representatives as HB 2069 during the 2011-2012 legislative session.
This legislation pertains to eating establishments and provides for the availability of emergency epinephrine auto injectors, or epi-pens, to be housed in a secure locked location within the establishment for use during emergency situations. Specifically, the act permits certain establishments to obtain a prescription for and maintain epinephrine kits and requires the Department of Health to adopt regulations for the approval of training programs relating to the possession and administration of epinephrine in emergency situations.
Please join me in co-sponsoring this important piece of legislation. If you have questions regarding this legislation please contact Tim Golding of my staff at 717-787-5839 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Introduced as SB897
