Introduced as SB952

Description:
Legislation that broadens the scope of simple assault to include individuals who "intentionally or recklessly propels an object at a moving automobile which results in bodily injury or temporary bodily impairment".  This was formerly Senate Bill 484 of last session and previous co-sponsors included: BOSCOLA , BREWSTER, KITCHEN , RAFFERTY , STACK , TARTAGLIONE , WAUGH and WOZNIAK.

Description:  
Legislation  to provide a mandatory minimum sentence for arson-related offenses.  The legislation would mandate a minimum sentence of 5-years for an individual convicted of an arson involving a death.  Additionally, the legislation would provide a 2-year mandatory sentence for an individual convicted of arson destroying property.  This was formerly Senate Bill 488 of the last session and previous co-sponsors included: BOSCOLA , BREWSTER, KITCHEN , RAFFERTY and WAUGH.

Description:
Legislation that would prohibit the use of laser pointers on individuals.  The bill would provide for a summary offense if a pointer were used on an individual.  It also provides for a third degree misdemeanor if the pointer is used on an individual while the individual is operating a motor vehicle.  This was formerly Senate Bill 489 of last session and previous co-sponsors included: BREWSTER, KITCHEN , RAFFERTY , SOLOBAY and TARTAGLIONE.

Description:
Legislation that would increase the penalty for individuals convicted of retail theft of motor fuel.  Under this legislation, an individual would face a suspension of their operating privileges for 30 days after the first offense, for 60 days after the second offense and for one year following a third offense.  This was formerly Senate Bill 490 of last session and previous co-sponsors included: BREWSTER, RAFFERTY , TARTAGLIONE and WAUGH.
