Subject: Increasing Littering Fines
 

In the near future I will be re-introducing a measure that will increase the fine imposed on individuals convicted of littering in Pennsylvania under both Title 18 (Crimes Code) and Title 75 (Transportation).

Persons convicted of littering shall be sentenced to pay a fine of not less than $1,000 for each offense. Under current law the fine may range from $50 to $300. This bill was Senate Bill 1423 of last session and previous co-sponsors included: ALLOWAY, BOSCOLA , COSTA , FONTANA , RAFFERTY , SCHWANK, WAUGH and YUDICHAK.
