Subject: Moratorium on Leasing State Forest Land for Natural Gas Drilling
 
In the near future, I am going to be re-introducing legislation which would impose a moratorium on the additional leasing of state forest land for natural gas exploration and drilling. This legislation would also require the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources to regularly assess the impact of natural gas exploration, drilling and production on state forest lands and the Commonwealth.
