Subject: Use of Proceeds of Crime by the Commonwealth
 
Please join me in sponsoring the following legislation introduced as S.B. 522 in the 2011-2012 legislative session by Senators COSTA, KITCHEN, KASUNIC, TARTAGLIONE, FONTANA, SOLOBAY, RAFFERTY, ERICKSON, BOSCOLA, BREWSTER, STACK AND BROWNE.

The legislation authorizes the Attorney General and district attorneys to use the proceeds of property lost to the commonwealth under the Controlled Substances Forfeiture Law to enforce violations of the Crimes Code and the Motor Vehicle Code as well as the Controlled Substances Drug Device and Cosmetic Act as is currently provided.
