Subject: Growth Supplement for School Districts
 
In the very near future, I will be re-introducing legislation (SB742) that will amend the public school code and provide for a growth supplement to school districts for the 2013 - 2014 school year. In many districts throughout the Commonwealth, high growth has put a strain on school districts. This legislation will provide qualifying school districts with supplemental revenue to account for this growth.

In order to qualify for the growth supplement, a school district’s 2013-14 average daily membership must be greater than its’ 2012-2013 average daily membership by three hundred fifty members.
