Subject: Re-authorization of PA One Call/811
 
For nearly 50 years, Pennsylvania’s One Call System has set the standard for safe digging in our Commonwealth. Since its inception in 1975, the system has been periodically reviewed and augmented by the General Assembly – the last set of changes implemented in 2017 by Act 50. That is set to expire at the end of this year.

To that end, I am introducing legislation to re-authorize One Call for an additional 7 years that will contain some much-needed updates to the law.

One Call is far too important to the health and safety of our residents and workers to be allowed to lapse. Please join me in making sure that doesn’t happen.
