Subject: | Trooper First Class Brad Wilson Honorary Bridge |
In the near future, I will be introducing legislation designating a bridge located on a portion of US Route 219 over Pentz Run in Clearfield County as the Trooper First Class Brad Wilson honorary Bridge. Prior to serving in the Pennsylvania State Police, Trooper First Class Brad Wilson served in the United States Airforce. Trooper First Class Wilson was stationed at the DuBois barracks in Clearfield County. On September 26, 2013, at approximately 2:30 p.m., Trooper First Class Wilson was shot and critically wounded while trying to serve a warrant at a private residence in Jeffereson County. Following the shooting, Trooper First Class Wilson was presented with the Pennsylvania State Police purple Heart Award in November 2014. In 2016, Trooper First Class Wilson was honorably discharged from the Pennsylvania State Police after 25 years of service to the Commonwealth and is still recovering from his injury in the line of duty. This legislation is identical to Senate Bill 958 of this session by Senator Langerholc. Please join me in honoring this public servant. |
