| Each year in June, the residents of Delaware County come together to celebrate their community and raise money for a local charity. This year’s event will mark the eighth year of celebrating all things Delco on June 10th, in honor of the county’s 610 area code. Once again, Delco Day is raising money to support the HEADstrong Foundation, an organization which works to provide housing for cancer patients, and their families, while seeking comprehensive and lifesaving treatments. The HEADstrong Foundation is relentless in improving the quality of life for those affected by cancer, and so too is the Delco Day spirit of helping others. That is why we are introducing a resolution recognizing June 10, 2023, as “Delco Day” in Pennsylvania. As stewards of community building, it is my hope that you will join us in this effort to honor and celebrate Delco Day in Pennsylvania. |
