Subject: | The Taxpayer Protection Act |
In the near future, I will be reintroducing legislation that will amend the Pennsylvania Constitution to establish spending limits that the Commonwealth must abide by each fiscal year. The proposed constitutional amendment would limit the amount the Commonwealth's spending may increase, based on a three-year average of the Commonwealth's inflation and population growth. The cap may only be exceeded by a 2/3 vote of both chambers of the General Assembly. I respectfully ask for your co-sponsorship on this very important piece of legislation.
