Subject: Resolution Calling on Congress to Condemn and Investigate Russian War Crimes in Ukraine
 
I will soon be introducing a resolution calling on Congress to condemn and investigate the actions of the Russian military in Ukraine for possible war crimes that have been committed throughout its invasion over the past few months.

Each week there it seems there is a report of a new atrocity committed against the Ukrainian people by Russia's military invasion force. As the Russian campaign has stalled and reversed in achieving its military goals, it seems that the brutality of its tactics and the indiscriminate targeting of civilian neighborhoods increases.

I believe at this time it is necessary for the United States to lead the world in condemning these actions and pushing for the investigation and prosecution of war crimes committed by Russia.
