MEMORANDUM

Posted: February 1, 2022 12:57 PM
From: Representative Stephanie Borowicz
To: All House members
Subject: Legislation Amending Title 75 -- Towing Regulations

In the near future, I intend to introduce legislation to ease regulations on the towing industry to allow for safer operating procedures.  Recently, in my district, there was a tragic accident where a tow truck driver, James Corl, was killed by a vehicle that crashed into his truck as he attempted to dismantle a disabled tractor trailer combination he was towing.  Mr. Corl had been in the towing business for 52 years and was a leader in his community.

Currently, in Pennsylvania, you can only tow combinations under certain strict parameters and on certain roadways.

Please join me in supporting this legislation to ease regulations on our tow truck drivers and increase safety on the roads across the Commonwealth.

Introduced as HB2443
