Subject: Repealing obsolete provisions of Act 99 of 1811 relating to the settlement of public accounts (Former HB 1041)
 
Please join me as a co-sponsor of legislation to repeal the obsolete provisions of Act 99 of 1811 relating to the settlement of public accounts.

This act pre-dates much of our current practice relating to public accounts and its subject matter has largely been replaced by the Fiscal Code and other similar acts.  While a number of its sections have been repealed in piecemeal fashion in the last 200 years, most of it remains technically on the books.

This legislation would not repeal modern provisions that were added in the 1970s and 1980s relating to Commonwealth and municipal deferred compensation plans.
