Subject: PA Driver Manual Update
 
It is my intention to introduce legislation in the near future that will require an update to the Pennsylvania Driver's Manual to include stronger recommendations and best practices for all drivers in the event of a traffic stop.  Not only does my legislation enhance and update the driver's manual but it would require that at least two questions are included on a driver’s examination that pertain to this education.
 
It is my intention to bring more positive information and education to our roadways and assist all individual drivers and law enforcement during what is considered a very stressful situation. This legislation is especially critical in today’s society and works to educate, build awareness and reduce stress and possible escalation during a traffic stop for all that may have been avoided.  I ask that you join me as a cosponsor in this productive measure.
