Subject:	Hauling Permits (Amending Vehicle Code)

In the near future, I will be re-introducing legislation (HB1077 of last Session), that would allow for the transportation of multiple hot ingots a distance of up to 125 miles. Currently, under the Vehicle Code (Title 75), a hauler may transport only one hot ingot a distance of 25 miles.  technological advances in the manufacturing process currently allow for ingots to be shipped in multiple pieces, and the need for lengthier travel between manufacturing plants has become greater. I urge my fellow colleagues to support this legislation.  Thank you.
