Subject: Bridge Naming -- Colonel Henry Bossert Memorial Bridge
 
In the near future, I plan to introduce legislation to honor Civil War veteran Colonel Henry M. Bossert. Specifically, this bill will designate a bridge in Clinton County as the Colonel Henry Bossert Memorial Bridge.

Colonel Bossert commanded the 137th Pennsylvania Infantry Regiment during the American Civil War in the battles at Fredericksburg and Antietam in Maryland. It was during the Battle of Antietam that Colonel Bossert displayed unequivocal calm and courage that was crucial to the Union Army’s strategic victory.

It is my intention to honor this brave veteran for his service to the country and the Commonwealth.

I ask that you please join me in co-sponsoring this legislation.
