Subject: Updating Administrative Code relating to the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (Prior HB 2309 – 19/20 Session)
 
Please join me as a co-sponsor of legislation to update obsolete provisions of the Administrative Code of 1929 that relate to the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR).

DCNR was established under the Conservation and Natural Resources Act of 1995, which split the powers and duties of the former Department of Environmental Resources into the Department of Environmental Protection and DCNR. This legislation amends the Administrative Code to reflect this change, including updating provisions relating to DCNR’s management of the Project 70 program, the role of the Pennsylvania State Police on lands managed by DCNR, and the continuation of the Department of Environmental Resources’ historical construction activities under DCNR.
