|Subject:||Urging Congress to Incite the Articles of Impeachment|
|On the day that the United States Congress was set to confirm that President-elect Joe Biden won the election, President Trump stood outside the White House and gave a speech in which he falsely claimed to have won the 2020 Presidential Election. Shortly after, chaos erupted in Washington, D.C. as thousands of President Trump’s supporters turned violent as they stormed and vandalized the United States Capitol Building.
As an act of domestic terrorism occurred at the Capitol of the United States of America, President Trump told his supporters to go home but continued voicing the false rhetoric that the election had been stolen from him and his supporters. An obvious unprecedented attack was ignited by the United States President and he must be held accountable for the atrocity that occurred and the lives that were lost.
A blatant injustice on our American democracy was encouraged and fueled by Mr. Donald Trump. For this reason, I urge Congress to immediately incite the articles of impeachment against President Trump. The violence that was fueled by our nation’s leader will remain an apparent threat to our security and our democracy should he remain in office. Please join me in the necessary act of unequivocally denouncing the President’s actions and words by urging Congress to begin the impeachment process for the second time against President Trump.
