Subject:	Sergeant Carl Roof Memorial Bridge

In the near future, I will introduce legislation to honor Sergeant Carl Roof. The bill will designate the bridge on a portion of State Route 4001 over Crooked Creek in Indiana County as the Sergeant Carl Roof Bridge. A native of Armstrong Township, Sergeant Roof served during World War II. He suffered as a prisoner of war for 11 months before returning home to Indiana County. Sergeant Roof, who passed away at the age of 98, resided near this bridge. Please join me in sponsoring this important piece of legislation. Thank you for your consideration.
