Subject: Expanding One Fair Wage to protect vulnerable members of the workforce

I have been joined by various colleagues this legislative term in reintroducing the bill (formerly HB2902) to amend The Minimum Wage Act of 1968.

This legislation will increase the minimum wage over time to $15/hour, abolish the sub-minimum wage, protect the gratuities of workers from wage theft, and expand the universe of beneficiaries to include gig workers, incarcerated workers, and workers with severe intellectual disabilities.

All work has dignity. And there is no excuse for allowing a poverty wage in our commonwealth.

Pennsylvania needs one fair wage as an equitable entry-point to our vibrant workforce.

Introduced as HB15
