|Subject:||John A. Pulice Memorial Bridge|
|On October 6, 2020, my district lost a beloved member of our community when John A. Pulice of Millcreek passed away at the age of 87. A dedicated and longstanding public servant, John A. Pulice was affectionately known to many as the “Mayor of Millcreek.”
After graduating from Millcreek High School, John A. Pulice served as a Seaman First Class in the United States Navy during the Korean War and, also served in the active reserve. John subsequently worked as the Regional Director of the Pennsylvania Lottery for the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue. He would go on to be appointed by the Governor to the Council of Trustees at Edinboro University. Additionally, he was an elected member of the Millcreek Township School Board for two decades and served on the Millcreek Township Planning and Zoning Commission.
In recognition of his many years of public service, I will be introducing legislation to designate a bridge on Milfair Road in Fairview Township, Erie County, as the John A. Pulice Memorial Bridge.
Please join me in this effort to honor an extraordinary member of our community.
Introduced as HB874
