|Subject:||Resolution: Designating the Month of October 2020 as “Dysautonomia Awareness Month” in Pennsylvania|
|In the near future, I plan on introducing a resolution to recognize the month of October 2020 as “Dysautonomia Awareness Month” in Pennsylvania.
Dysautonomia is a group of medical conditions that result in a malfunction of the autonomic nervous system, which is responsible for "automatic" bodily functions, such as respiration, heart rate, blood pressure, digestion, temperature control and more.
Recognizing October 2020 as “Dysautonomia Awareness Month” in Pennsylvania is a great way to increase awareness, which will help patients get diagnosed and treated earlier, save lives, and foster support for individuals and families coping with dysautonomia in our communities.
Please consider co-sponsoring “Dysautonomia Awareness Month” in Pennsylvania.
