Subject: Delaying Annual Business Registration Fees During COVID-19

The COVID-19 outbreak has created much uncertainty for not only individuals and families, but for Pennsylvania businesses as well. Each year, businesses operating in Pennsylvania are required to register with the Department of State and pay an annual registration fee. Given the current circumstances, many businesses that are operating at a reduced capacity may not be able to afford this fee.

For this reason, we are introducing a bill that would delay this registration fee for Limited Liability Companies, Limited Liability Partnerships, Limited Liability Limited Partnerships, and Restricted Professional Limited Liability Companies to December 31, 2020. This is a critical economic relief that Pennsylvania businesses need to stay afloat.

This small delay can help our small business owners who are in need. Please join us in supporting small businesses and protecting our workforce.

Introduced as HB2703
