Subject: | Pennsylvania Loves the Class of 2020 Day |
For many students late spring is normally a time of celebration. For graduating seniors, the opportunity to attend their graduation ceremony and to be able to celebrate all their hard work and many accomplishments with family and friends is one of life’s most priceless moments. However, many students of the Class of 2020 will not be able to have that opportunity. The Class of 2020 has sacrificed and lost so much that just cannot be replaced. To honor the Class of 2020, I soon plan to introduce a resolution declaring a day in June as the “Pennsylvania Loves the Class of 2020 Day.” This resolution will honor all graduates, including those who attend our public and private high schools, colleges, and technical schools who were unable to participate in their graduation ceremony. While this resolution cannot replace a graduation ceremony, I believe it is important that we show our 2020 graduates that they are not forgotten, and that their state government appreciates all the sacrifices they have made this year. Please join me in co-sponsoring this resolution and celebrating the Class of 2020. |
