Subject: | Allow Pennsylvania’s arboretums and botanical gardens to re-open for business as long as they adhere to CDC health and safety protocols. |
I am planning to introduce legislation that would allow Pennsylvania’s arboretums and botanical gardens to re-open for business as long as they adhere to CDC health and safety protocols. The governor has already allowed some outdoor activities to open up, such as camping and golfing, and I believe it would be appropriate to allow people to visit botanical gardens with proper outdoor social distancing. Many people enjoy visiting these attractions, whether to experience the beauty of nature in full bloom on an afternoon stroll or get ideas for new or distinctive foliage they can plant in their own gardens. Botanical gardens have been an important part of Pennsylvania’s tourism product over the years, attracting visitors and providing jobs and economic development Please join me in cosponsoring this important legislation. |
