Subject: | Pennsylvania Pharmacists and Pharmacy Month (October 2020) |
When it comes to dispensing the medications that Pennsylvanians rely on each and every day, even minor mistakes in the type or dose of a drug can mean the difference between life and death. With the spread of the opioid crisis, properly and safely dispensing prescription drugs has become even more important. Fortunately, our state is served by over 24,000 licensed pharmacists who work tirelessly to ensure that Pennsylvanians receive the medications they need to live a happy and healthy life. In order to properly recognize all that our pharmacists and pharmacies do for the people of Pennsylvania, I will be introducing a resolution to designate the month of October 2020 as “Pennsylvania Pharmacists and Pharmacy Month.” Please join me in thanking our pharmacists and pharmacies for their hard work and devotion to the well-being of all Pennsylvanians. |
