| Subject: | Automatic Mailing of Vote By Mail Applications |
| The Covid-19 epidemic has disrupted many different aspects of our daily lives in America. Unfortunately, even our election process has not been immune to this virus. Across the country, citizens are rightly afraid to take part in our most important duty as Americans; voting for who should represent them in all levels of government. Luckily, Pennsylvania recently enacted Act 77 allowing Pennsylvanians the ability to vote by mail thus allowing many of us to avoid the large crowds and lines associated with voting traditionally. However, many may not know that they can vote by mail and avoid risks involved with voting in person during this pandemic In order to facilitate as much voter turn out as possible, my legislation will automatically mail every registered voter, who has voted in at least one of the last four elections, a vote by mail application. This will reduce the spread of Covid-19 and encourage participation in a crucial facet of our democracy. I hope you will join me in co-sponsoring this life-saving legislation. |
