| Subject: | Celebrating Take Your Daughters and Sons to Work Day |
| Think back to when you were growing up and learning about different careers. What did you want to be when you grew up – a teacher, a doctor, a firefighter, a scientist? The possibilities are limitless, and it is crucial that we foster this type of career exploration for our children and young adults. For this reason, I am re-introducing a resolution to recognize April 23, 2020, as Take Your Daughters and Sons to Work Day, in tandem with the national and international observance. Inspiring the next generation of hard-working Pennsylvanians can be a large task, and one of the best ways to do this is to show them what their parents are doing to provide for their families. The theme for 2020 is “Meet the Workplace Superstars.” We, as the adult workforce, can help inspire our children to be workplace superstars in whatever profession they choose. Please join me in encouraging our children to envision themselves as a future workplace superstar. |
