Subject: Recognizing PPL's 100 Years of Providing Electric Service to Pennsylvania
 
PPL has provided electricity and helped power the growth of industries and communities in Pennsylvania for 100 years. When a company reaches this milestone, it is something to celebrated, especially when the company is providing vital services, such as electricity to communities across the Commonwealth.

I will be introducing a resolution recognizing PPL for their 100 years of operating as a public utility in Pennsylvania. Created in 1920 through the consolidation of eight electric companies, PPL was originally called the Pennsylvania Power & Light Company (PP&L). The company is proudly headquartered in Allentown and has grown to become one of the largest companies in the U.S. utility sector.

I ask that you support this resolution and join me in recognizing PPL’s achievement and service to Pennsylvania.
