| Subject: | Resolution Recognizing the Career of ABC27 Sportscaster, Gregory "Gregg" Mace |
| I will be introducing a Resolution honoring the legacy of Gregory “Gregg” Mace, a dedicated sportscaster/director for ABC27, Harrisburg. Gregg spent 40 years as sports director at WHTM-27 ABC27 in Harrisburg, covering high school, college, local professional and major league sports. He was an avid Baltimore Orioles fan, having never missed opening day. His passion was sports, attending sporting events with his family, especially Hershey Bears, Harrisburg Senators and Baltimore Orioles games. Among Gregg’s career highlights was covering the Philadelphia Phillies winning the World Series in 1980 and 2008, Cal Ripken’s consecutive games-played record streak, three Super Bowls, Penn State’s two national football championships, and every Hershey Bears Calder Cup championship since 1980. Most recently, he was the recipient of the 2019 Silver Circle Award for lifetime achievement at the Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards, held in Pittsburgh.
