Subject: Resolution: Recognizing September 8-14, 2019 as Arts in Education Week
 
In the near future, I, along with Representative Briggs, will be introducing a resolution designating September 8-14, 2019 as “Arts in Education Week” in Pennsylvania.

The purpose of this resolution is to recognize the importance of arts education which contributes to students’ well-rounded education and improves vital critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Arts education has also been linked to increased attendance and graduation rates and higher academic achievement.

Please join us in sponsoring this resolution to recognize arts education in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
