Subject: | National Days of Prayer and Remembrance |
Almost eighteen years ago, on September 11, 2001, the United States was victim to the worst terrorist attack in our nation’s history. Of the almost 3,000 people who died that day, approximately 414 of the victims were first responders and emergency workers who risked their lives and paid the ultimate sacrifice. So that we may express our gratitude to the fallen and exemplify our unity with the country, I am proposing a resolution that will formally recognize the National Days of Prayer and Remembrance in Pennsylvania in 2019. Every year, the National Days of Prayer and Remembrance fall on the last Friday, Saturday, and Sunday before September 11. This commemorates a time of reflection to honor those who lost their lives in service to this country and its citizens. Please join me in co-sponsoring this resolution and thanking those who served our country bravely. |
