Subject: Resolution Honoring John William Heisman's 150th Birthday
 
I will be introducing a resolution honoring John William Heisman, the namesake of the Heisman Trophy, on the occasion of his 150th birthday.

John William Heisman was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on October 23, 1869. He was raised in Pennsylvania near Titusville, Crawford County and graduated from Titusville High School in 1887.

The Heisman Memorial Trophy has been won by many football greats, including Pennsylvanians John Cappelletti of The Pennsylvania State University and Tony Dorsett of the University of Pittsburgh.

Please join me in honoring John William Heisman on the occasion of his 150th
birthday.
