Subject: Chronic Disease Awareness Day Resolution
 
Later this week, I plan to introduce a Resolution designating July 10, 2019 as Chronic Disease Awareness Day in Pennsylvania.

According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 1 in every 4 Americans has multiple chronic conditions that last a year or more and require ongoing medical attention or limit activities of daily living. Managing multiple chronic conditions can require a great deal of time and effort on the part of patients, families or paid attendants providing health care assistance.

Please join me in designating July 10, 2019, as Chronic Disease Awareness Day in Pennsylvania by cosponsoring this Resolution. Thank you.
