Subject: | Sunday Tennis Law Act 188 of 1935 Repeal |
Our Commonwealth has thousands of regulations on the books. Many of these acts were enacted several decades ago and are simply archaic and are no longer applicable in the 21st century. In addition, the existence of these outdated laws contributes to the already complex and confusing nature of government. In an effort to clean up the books, I plan to introduce a bill that will repeal one of these antiquated acts. This legislation will repeal the Sunday Tennis Act which allows for the playing of tennis before one o’clock on Sundays. This act is clearly out dated and no longer serves a purpose. By repealing this act, we will be providing the citizens of this Commonwealth with a more transparent and streamlined rule of law. Please join me in co-sponsoring this legislation. |
