Session of 2019 - 2020 Regular Session

MEMORANDUM

Posted: April 10, 2019 11:37 AM
From: Representative Dan Moul
To: All House members
Subject: Right to Know Law

In the near future, I will be introducing legislation that will amend the Right to Know Law to extend exemptions to nearly all personal information.

If passed, this legislation will exempt all personal information except for the name, position, salary, actual compensation or other payments or expenses, employment contract, employment-related contract or agreement, and length of service of a public official or an agency employee from being public record.
Currently the Right to Know Law has gaps in its exemption section that can leave some individual’s personal and private information open to the public. The contents of this private information should be left private and this legislation will ensure that.

Please join me in co-sponsoring this important piece of legislation.

Introduced as HB1284
