Subject: | Essential Health Benefits Resolution |
The Trump Administration has announced that it will launch a legal attack on the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Not only is this political folly, but this attack could jeopardize health insurance for millions of Americans and hundreds of thousands of Pennsylvanians. If the ACA is struck down by the U.S. Supreme Court, my resolution urges Congress to retain the 10 essential health benefits in whatever replacement they choose. No matter which side of the aisle you represent, we can agree that stripping access from those with addiction is immoral. Hopefully, we can also agree that denying a single mother access to maternity care flies in the face of a family forward country. Please join me in supporting this symbolic gesture of supporting access to essential health benefits. |
