Subject: Small Business Week
 
In the near future, I will introduce a resolution designating the week of May 5-11, 2019 as Small Business Week in Pennsylvania.

Small businesses in PA are a key to the Commonwealth’s well-being. They account for a significant share of the state’s economic production and hiring. According to the most recent PA Small Business Profile, reported by the U.S. Small Business Administration Office of Advocacy, our Commonwealth’s small businesses employed 2.5 million people, and comprised an astonishing 99.6% of all employers in the Commonwealth.

Please join me in honoring this hard-working group of individuals.
