Subject: | Resolution Recognizing the Anniversary of Junior Achievement |
In the near future, I will be introducing a resolution recognizing 2019 as the 80th anniversary of Junior Achievement in Pennsylvania and the 100th anniversary of Junior Achievement in the United States. Junior Achievement is the world’s largest organization dedicated to educating students about workforce readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy through experiential hands-on programs. Over 6,000 business, community and parent classroom mentor volunteers touch the lives of more than 200,000 students in kindergarten through grade 12 in public and private school systems in this Commonwealth. Junior Achievement believes in the boundless potential of young people, and is committed to the principles of market-based economics and entrepreneurship and is passionate about achieving program goals while practicing honesty, integrity, and excellence. I encourage you to join me in cosponsoring this resolution. |
