Subject: Taxpayer-funded Lobbyist Prohibition Act
 
As we represent the hardworking citizens of our districts, we must ensure that their voice is able to be heard throughout our government. An active and vocal citizenry is vital to maintaining an effective government. Citizens in Pennsylvania have been at the forefront of driving positive change, both in state government, and for America as a whole.

Unfortunately, the powerful voice of our citizenry is being drowned out by special interests. Moreover, these special interests often use the taxpayer’s own money to lobby and fight against Pennsylvanians.

That is why I will be introducing legislation to ban the use of taxpayer money to pay for lobbyists. Taxpayer funded lobbyists are an affront our rich heritage of citizen engagement and I look forward to working with you to restore the power of Pennsylvania’s citizens.
