| Subject: | Volunteer Firefighter Vehicle Registration Waiver |
| In the near future, I plan to reintroduce legislation which would waive the Driver Vehicle Registration fee for active Volunteer Firefighters. Currently, there are less than 50,000 volunteer firefighters in Pennsylvania risking their lives. Many of these men and women use their own personal cars to respond to calls. As a small act of gratitude, they should not have to pay for their annual vehicle registration. In order to qualify, a chief or supervisor would have to sign the application form, stating that the firefighter is an active volunteer, in good standing.” Please join me in co-sponsoring this legislation. |
