Subject:	Resolution Honoring the Life of Raymond Smith

Colleagues, Last month, a long-time member of the House Republican Communications Department and even longer-standing fixture at the State Capitol passed away. Raymond 'Ray' Smith worked as a capitol reporter for Radio Pennsylvania in the late 1990s and early 2000s, and for the last 12 years as a member of our communications staff. Ray passed away on Sept. 5th at just 59 years of age. In the near future, we will be introducing a House resolution honoring Ray's hard work and dedication to keeping the public informed about what was happening in their state government. I hope you will join us in co-sponsoring this resolution to pay our respects to Ray and send our condolences to his loved ones.
