Subject: 529 College Savings Day Resolution
 
Attached is the copy of a resolution I plan on introducing that would designate May 29, 2018, as "529 College Savings Day".

Student loan debt is now the second highest consumer debt category, behind only mortgage debt. The PA 529 College Savings Program helps Pennsylvanians reduce the need for borrowing and save for higher education through two distinct plans - the Pennsylvania 529 Guaranteed Savings Plan and the Pennsylvania 529 Investment Plan.
