| Subject: | Elimination of Elected Auditor for First Class Townships, Second Class Townships and Boroughs |
| In the near future, I plan on introducing a package of legislation that would eliminate the position of elected auditor for First Class Townships, Second Class Townships and Boroughs. In recent years, it has become more difficult to find individuals that are willing to run for the position of auditor. As a result, many municipalities rely on Certified Public Accountants to annually audit their books. My legislation would allow municipalities that have a contract with a Certified Public Accountant to eliminate the position of Elected Auditor.
