Subject: | Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia Awareness Month – May 2018 |
I am planning to introduce a resolution designating May 2018 as “Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia Awareness Month.” Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia, type 47 (SPG47) is an ultra-rare neurodegenerative disease, with only 11 confirmed cases worldwide. There is no cure. Currently SPG47 affects only two children in the U.S., one of which resides in Pennsylvania. Please join me as a cosponsor to bring awareness to this rare disease. |
