|Subject:||Designation of the PA Route 405 Bridge as the H. Donald Whipple Memorial Bridge|
|I am planning to introduce legislation designating the PA Route 405 bridge crossing the Norfolk Southern Railway in West Chillisquaque Township, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, as the H. Donald Whipple Memorial Bridge.
H. Donald Whipple was a 2001 graduate of West Branch High School and a 2006 graduate of Mansfield University, with a Bachelors of Arts degree in geography and environmental sciences. Among his achievements, Mr. Whipple worked as a Commonwealth employee beginning in 2008 and was recognized as PennDot District 3-0 Employee of the Month in August of 2012 for his outstanding work and dedication. He was also intimately involved in the drafting and designing of the TR405 Bridge in West Chillisquaque Township.
Mr. Whipple died from injuries sustained in a severe motor vehicle accident on August 3, 2016, while performing his job duties. He was 33 years old at the time of his passing.
Please join me in cosponsoring this legislation. Thank you.
